In Other News: Deadline Extension

Oh, I totally forgot...we've extended the deadline to September 5th. This will enable all artisans who are unsure about their schedules for September to determine their availability.

We are very excited for this news.

Thanks a million!

Big News: Our Show will be Bullfrog Powered

This year's show will be Bullfrog Powered. What does that mean? Well, for every kilowatt of electricity we use during the show, Bullfrog Power (www.bullfrogpower.com) will put the equivalent amount of Green, low-impact, clean electricity back onto the grid on our behalf. That means that more Green electricity (from sources like wind and solar power, rather than fossil fuels, coal, or other) available on the provincial grid.

We are very pleased to mention that this is all due to sponsorship by environmental advocate and Personal Chef Erin King of St. Catharines. Erin is also a sales representative for Enjo (www.enjo-canada.com). Enjo is one small way to keep your home chemical-free. It's a great partnership that we are very pleased to have.

Another update will happen soon.
Until next time,
The Artisan Show Committee

Bullfrog Power: Our Backyard is Green!

We have some very exciting news!

This year, the Glen Ridge Artisan Show will be Bullfrog Powered. What does that mean? Well, for every kilowatt of electricity used during the show, Bullfrog will place the equivalent amount of electricity in the form of Green/'low-impact' energy onto the grid on the school's behalf. It's a small step towards making more of our energy Green.

Look here to find out more ways we will 'Green' our show.

Until next time.

Up and Running

Big News: We are almost ready to have our promotion and marketing department go full-on for the Show.  Very close, indeed.

Just to let you know, it's best to contact us at glenridgeartisans@gmail.com, rather than through our website. For some reason, the Contact Us doesn't quite work.

For Artisans: our marketing efforts will be very heavy in the Glenridge Neighbourhood and Downtown St. Catharines. We will also encourage word-of-mouth and support by you to spread the word. We will move to media promotion shortly.

Have a great day, everyone.
Our next update will be soon.

Show Website

Well, things are on a roll.

We are tinkering around with a website to be able to provide Artisans and Sponsors a way to download their respective information.

Something Unique in Our Backyard

Welcome to Something Unique in Our Backyard!

Well, actually, it's the home of the Glen Ridge Artisan Show.

This is the inaugural show for Glen Ridge Public School, and the Show Committee invites Artisans and Sponsor to contact us for more information:

glenridgeartisans@gmail.com is the place.

So...the vitals:

Saturday, September 19, 2009
11am - 5pm
Glen Ridge Public School
101 South Drive
St. Catharines, ON

Exhibitor and sponsorship packages will be sent out May 1st. Deadline for exhibitor applications is June 10th.

Other information you should know:

All money earned from this fundraiser will be kept in the school and used to subsidize future projects and purchase school supplies and resources. Sponsorship is necessary to ensure that revenue gained is profit earned.

The show will have lots to offer and will display home decor, clothing, candles, books, paintings, and photography--much of it from the Glen Ridge Neighbourhood. A few surprises are up our sleeves, as well. But, that will come in due time, so keep watching this spot. We can't tell you all our secrets up front, can we?
