Just over 2 Weeks Away!

Can you believe it? The Artisan Show is about 2 1/2 weeks away! Where did the time go? We are planning two amazing events:

On Friday, September 17th from 8pm until 1am, it's the Wine & Cheese brought to you by Henry of Pelham and The Peanut Mill Natural Foods Market.

On Saturday, September 18th from 10am until 5pm is the 2nd Annual Glen Ridge Artisan Show. This year, we will have doubled our size from last year. Included will be artisans from Niagara, Toronto, K-W, Oakville, and beyond.

All money from these events will replace 4600 books from the school library. The books were removed due to damage and/or out-of-date information. Our sponsors, volunteers, and artisans are making it possible to bring our library back to life.

Check out our Thank You and Who's Coming pages at our show website. We have placed all sponsors and exhibitors on these pages. Please support them.

See you on the 17th and 18th.

We Welcome Our Sponsors

We are grateful to the numerous sponsors who have come on-board to support our goal of purchasing 4600 books for the Glen Ridge school library. Without their generosity, we wouldn't be able to make this possible. Please support our sponsors.

The money raised will help us off-set the costs of our fundraising events: a Wine & Cheese on Friday, September 17th from 8pm - 1pm. Co-sponsored by Henry of Pelham and The Peanut Mill Natural Foods Market, and the Glen Ridge Artisan Show, Saturday, September 18th from 10am until 5pm. Be sure to join us.

Jewellery Category CLOSED

Effective May 20th, the jewellery category is closed. We had to place a cap on the jewellery group due to its popularity.

If you know of anyone outside of this grouping, we encourage you to suggest our show.
All our information can be found on our show website.

We are also still looking for artisans for our Gourmet Gallery. If you know of someone who creates tasty treats, jams, or the like, let us know.

We are filling up quickly. Interest is high for our second annual show. Send in your application before our May 31st deadline.

Rolling Along...

Hi Everyone--

Things are going well.

We have confirmed 50% capacity for our show in September. If you are interested in being an artisan at our show this year, be sure to get your application and submission fee in before May 31st. That's when we have a slight price increase.

We are thrilled to have the following sponsors who have stepped up during these early stages:

Body and Soul Personal Training and Nutrition (Joanna Cielen)
Mantis Media Inc. (Laurielle Allan)
Chapters (Fairview Mall, St. Catharines)
Phil Gourlay (Event Planning)

We are very excited to have our Grizzly Gourmet Gallery filling up quickly. These are gourmet artisans who will be bringing their delightful items to the show.

This year, all profit raised by the Artisan Show will be devoted to replenishing the school's library and purchasing a literacy program called Literacy Place, specifically for grades 1-3. Recently, 4600 books were circulated out of the school's collection due to out-of-date information and damage. Your attendance at the show will help make a critical difference.

To participate, contact us at glenridgeartisans@gmail.com. Our website is www.glenridgartisanshow.webs.com. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Clarification

Hi Everyone--

We have a clarification:

Please make cheques payable to Glen Ridge School Council.

This has been changed on our revised application form now available on our site.

Our apologies for the correction.

Rolling in...

Our first application submission is en route. How exciting!

We've begun contacting past participants and new ones for this year's show. We anticipate a SOLD OUT show by the beginning of June.

If you are one of the many artisans we are contacting in the next few weeks, we hope you decide to join us. If you are just doing some preliminary research to see if this show is for you, contact us if you have any questions (glenridgeartisans@gmail.com).

For more information, visit our website. You can download our Application & Contract there.

If you can't join us for September 18, consider sponsoring our show. It is a great way to get your business name out there. We will promote it on our blog, website, and all day at our show. Our sponsorship levels are $50, $100, and $250. Further information about the benefits of sponsoring our show can be found on our For Sponsors page on our site.

Until next time,
The Committee

Don't miss out.

This year, we will be having a Gourmet Gallery. If you have tasty treats that are nut-free, we'd love for you to join our show. Please use the Artisan Application & Contract. Or, contact us glenridgeartisans@gmail.com.

"We are very happy to see this event in our neighbourhood. It's about time." Glenridge Neighbour

2010 Show: We're Getting Ready

Greetings, Blog Reader!

And...we're back! Welcome to the first 2010 blog post for the Glenridge Artisan Show.

We are working hard to get the Artisan Application and Contract ready for you to download from our official website. It will be ready very soon.

We've made a few changes for 2010. The first major change is the date: Saturday, September 18th. Time change, too: 10am until 5pm. That's an hour earlier than last year. That's a whole extra hour of primo shopping time! In addition to that, we're going to grow. We'll be adding a 2000sq.ft. tent with more artisans for your perusing, buying, and viewing pleasure.

We'll keep updating this site for you, so check in often. And, for those of you who enjoyed the fantastic weather of last year, cross your fingers for this year. We need all the help we can get.

Until next time,

Glenridge Artisan Show Committee
